At Evergreen Christian Academy, our mission is to provide a Christ-centered learning environment that fosters the spiritual, social, emotional, and cognitive development of young children. Our curriculum and staff are committed to nurturing a love for God and a passion for learning in each child.

We believe that every child is unique and created in the image of God, with individual talents and abilities. Our goal is to support and enhance each child's God-given potential by providing a developmentally appropriate curriculum that integrates biblical principles into every aspect of learning.

Our staff is comprised of dedicated Christian educators who model Christ's love and character, and who are committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and discovery. Through intentional play-based activities, we strive to help children develop a love for learning and a strong foundation of faith that will guide them throughout their lives.

Our mission statement is based on the following beliefs:

We are Christ-centered, Bible-believing family of disciples; rooted within the Christian Church which finds its center in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ; grounded on the Word of God, the Bible, and led by the Holy Spirit.

We believe that God is the Creator of all things and that He continues to love His creation regardless of the sinfulness that has corrupted it. (Gen. 1:1, Col. 1:16-17, Isa. 43:7)

We believe that Jesus Christ, in His earthly ministry, was both fully God and fully human, and is now in His glorified state equal and co-eternal in the one Triune Godhead. Jesus’ death and resurrection paid the penalty for our sins and, by grace through faith, offers believers full forgiveness and eternal salvation. (I Tim. 3:16, Isaiah 9:6, Romans 4:25, Col. 1:15-20, Gal. 2:20, I Peter 2:24)

We believe that Christ alone (Acts 4:12, John 14:6) provides what the human condition needs — forgiveness of sins, assurance of eternal life, and joyful peace. This is called salvation and is a free gift (grace, Eph. 2:8-9). We believe that anyone who believes in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior can be certain of this salvation (assurance, John 5:24). We believe that we partake of this free gift of grace by faith alone (Rom. 3:28, John 3:16), and thereby enter a life-long process of change and growth (sanctification). (Rom. 12:2, II Cor. 5:17)

We believe that Jesus instituted Holy Baptism and the Lord’s Supper as a promised means of His grace. We believe that the Lord truly acts in the sacraments, and that our faith is an essential part of the equation which makes the sacraments real and effective as a means of bestowing forgiveness of sins and grace to the sinner. We also believe that in the absence of faith in Christ our Lord is also present to convict the sinner. (Mark 16:16, I Cor. 11:23-29)

We believe that the Bible is God’s Living Word, without error in terms of God’s intent in original manuscripts. Inspired by God’s Spirit, the Bible is still our final authority in matters of faith and life. (II Tim. 3:16, Psa. 119:105)

We believe that the Holy Spirit, also co-eternal in the Triune Godhead, brings us to a saving faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, as the Holy Spirit teaches, gathers, and equips believers to live lives that bring honor and glory to the Lord and fullness of life to the world. (Acts 2, I Cor. 12:1-31, 14:1-12, Gal. 5)

We believe that we are a part of the one, true Church (Eph. 3:4-6, Rom. 12:5) made up of all who believe in Christ as Lord and Savior. We extend the proclamation and invitation of this Gospel (salvation through Christ) to all people, and welcome into Christian fellowship (membership) all who accept this message and believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. (Rom. 15:7)

We believe that there is a reality of Heaven and of Hell. God has prepared a glorious eternal home for us in God’s presence. We see only dimly what an amazing future this holds for us who are saved by God’s grace. (John 3:15-17, John 3:36)

We believe that there is one God (Deuteronomy 6:4), eternally existing in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. (Matt. 3:16-17, 28:19, II Cor. 13:14)

We believe that, because God created all things, creation is good. Yet, because of the Fall (original sin), we are selfish and do not purely fear and love God. We also believe that we continue to sin (actual sin) by our own fault. On both accounts, we need Jesus Christ, Who alone can save and redeem us. (Isa. 53, Rom. 1-3)

We believe that God invites us to pray and that He always hears and answers prayers in ways that respect our bidding and fulfill His ultimate Will. We further believe that prayer is not just talking to God but that God responds. (James 5:16, Matt. 18:18-20)

Based on the Bible, God’s Word Given to His Church

We believe that Christians are to be actively involved in sharing the saving Gospel of Jesus Christ with all people who do not yet believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as the sole means of salvation. (Matt. 28:18-20, II Peter 3:9)

We believe that Christians are to be pro-active in peacemaking, seeking justice, and meeting human needs for all people. (Eph. 2:14, Matt. 5:9, Matt. 25)

We believe that Christians are to work actively to break down the barriers that divide people — especially those barriers of race, economics, and gender (Acts 10:34-35, Galatians 3:28).

We do not believe that these distinctions will matter in heaven and teach that the Church on earth should begin to mirror this eventual reality. (Matt. 6:10) 18:18-20)
